HARDWARE IN THE LOOP TEST BENCH
During my work with the formula electric student team, I took the lead on the design, build, and implementation of a hardware in the loop test bench, working with other members of the team. The team designs and builds an electric race vehicle, and this setup was needed to interface with and test the full electrical setup. A variety of electrical components (potentiometers, switches, LEDs, and various connectors)Â were used to interface and mimic various inputs and signals that the vehicle might need to respond to. I developed the design in CAD, which was then used to guide parts sourcing and implementation. The finished product was then used successfully during competition, to run testing and validation of the vehicle.
