AUTOMATED TOILET

For the Mechatronics 1A design project, my group (Tomasz Zablotny, Kyle Woolard) and I decided to design and build a fully automated toilet. We were constrained to only use the Lego Mindstorms platform. Thorough planning went into the mechanical and software design for this project. Designs were implemented for the seat lift mechanisms, flush mechanism, and the presence sensing component box. The software required arduous testing and debouncing due to the inconsistency of the Lego Mindstorms sensors. I am really proud of this project because we were able to get a fully functioning automated toilet despite being constrained to only use Lego for the mechanics and sensors.
